Zebra Stripes and Leopard Print.......Not!

My husband has turned interior decorator! He has gone on a tear, and is fixing up his Mother's house, but don't get your hopes up. I don't think he will go this far with the new "do" (probably a good thing). He doesn't know about zebra, and leopard print. I can say this with confidence, because I told him I wanted to reupholster some chairs I bought at the school auction in zebra. He was incredulous, like I was asking him to go hunting for one, tan the hide and let me have it! No, this overhaul is not going to be radical, but it will be nice. All this started when he came back from Illinois, and he sat down in the recliner (a man essential), and was settling in to his favorite John Wayne movie, when, all of a sudden he felt a board sticking him in the back, and that was it! He went to the nearest furniture store and started picking out what he liked--recliner, couch, refrigerator, dishwasher......next, is the paint, and then who knows. After 38 years I have learned to just turn the boy loose, and let him do his thing. More about the re-vamp later.

  2. Just love that chair...maybe I could brand my cattle brand (?)..yes, it's a full question mark..in the middle and create a conversational piece...I suppose starting an argument would be considered..conversational..!!...

First, more about chairs...Ms O'Grady conveniently didn't tell about the time she threw away my recliner...but never fear Rosie...I still have the little blue pillow.. :)

I feel lost without my "redneck" TV stand.."You might be a redneck if you have a portable TV sitting on top an old console that no longer works"...No one has really lived in this house for the past 12 years, so it was decorated "as need to" basis...

Now if I could just figure out what to do with the party napkins, plastic forks & spoons that were stored in the dishwasher that didn't work!!...I believe will go sit in the recliner...put the little blue pillow over my face and figure this out....more later..I'm sure..

  3. Are we going to have barn red walls to go with this cool decorating project? I saw a guitar in Ok. last week that had a rub board on one end. It actually made music.
Bet all of us rednecks could make suggestions. Move over J. Wilde's. Cacuts
